| After changing up a gear, my 1.8 Octavia SLX seems to not want to accelerate until it gets to around 3000 rpm after which it zooms along quite eagerly. It seems more noticeable in the afternoon/evening than in the mornings. Before I book it into the garage, is there anything I should check? |

| My wife 2001 Octavia Combi 1.6i automatic use to have similar problem but only in the morning. But as soon as the engine temperature rise everything was ok. The problem was the Coolant Temperature Sensor. The car come with a black temperature sensor and they put a new green one. They toll me the black one has give then a lot of problem. Also maybe it can be the Atmosferic Presure Sensor. Well, I hope the VAG computer detect your problem. I hate when they conect the VAG and the computer says everything is ok and the problem still there........... I hope you only has a small problemo and not expensive Good Luck Isaac |
