Hydraulic tappets

Does anybody knows if I can change the cam followers on my 1.3 Felicia engine and replace them with hydraulic tappets from a 1.4 8valve fabia pushrod engine?.

That Is a good question,as I just purchased a felicia 1300 MPi station wagon, and generally well impressed with the vehicle. The car is very good condition but there is one thing, the sound of the engine is very similar to a diesel engine and do suspect the cam followers.Has any one got any information about this.

as the 1.4 8v and the 1.3 mpi engines are basically the same apart mfrom a few minor improvements, it should be possible although as I have not tried it myself I cannot say for sure.
