| IC Water Mister I bought the Intelligent water Mister from Autospeed and now trying to figure out the installations..... www.autospeed.com One main issue is the water bottle... Our Greek specs Oct VRS has only 3L bottle capacity and one pump for the front windshield only. :mad2: The British specs has rear and wash for the front lights... What is your capacity?? Does your VRS has 2 pumps installed?? If the bottle is 5,5L and two pumps do anyone know the part numbers in order to buy them?? Please Help.... (When i'll finish i'll post a How-To on this...) ![]()

| So, I'm not the only one? Mine has been in and running since september ![]() What you need is: Washer bottle from an Elegance or L&K spec Octavia. They have headlamp washers. Capacity is 5.5l (IIRC). You will also need: Headlamp washer pump Headlampwasher pump grommet About 50cm of fuel injector hose (IIRC its the 9mm stuff) 1 cable tie 2 pieces of velcro Some black silicone sealant Did you buy the nozzle from them? If you did, it will easilly cover the intercooler. As you look at the plastic housing at the front of the i/c (with the bumper off), drill a hole that will fit the nozzle 1/2 way across at the top, as low as you can. Cable tie it in place. The bits of velcro, I use them to secure the unit under the driver's seat. Before you do the wiring, make a note of which colour is which. We didn't and when we pulled them through, the labels came off and the instructions don't tell you which is which ![]() Can't remember which wire it is, do a search on here and you'll find out, which wire is the pulse feed for the injectors. Looking it up is easier than playing with the 2 wires. Any questions, let me know. Jon

| For the injector duty cycle, its the pink/purple wire, not the thick red one (thats a constant feed). 5l of water will last about 30mins of track time.

| Loukas, its a different water bottle, and the sensor is different and then you'll have to wire it in I was going to do it but decided that I didn't need to - I'd notice that it was getting slower! ![]() The pump is different to the normal windscreen one - it is very high pressure The new water bottle had a seperate hole for it (goes on the front of the tank, rather than the side where your washer one goes). Its a tight fit, you'll need to move the charcoal filter out of the way and the nuts are a bugger (and plastic not metallic )Kenny, fairly easy mod. Just need a switched live, an earth, cabling for the new pump and splice into the injector pulse wire. About 2-3 hours. Found it very good at reducing the temps, plus if its cold out you can disconnect over winter and have the benefits of a 5l washer bottle ![]()

| Tavia, I've just ordered the P/N you've said .... The tank one code has changed into 3 codes (tank, cap and seal) ...(i hope that these new corresponds to the correct tank). The others where OK for ordering... Just a question. What is the code of the low water sensor that can be fitted in this tank?? I'm thinking to fit it and wire it directly into the Intelligent mister control box. Thanks,

| Nice article Loukas, even if we can only understand the pics. Very comprehensive. If there is one comment, I would edit one of the pics (ICmist30.jpg) to make you vin less readable, some unsavoury types could use this info to clone your car.

| This is the second part of my Water Mister setup with Autospeed's Intelligent controller. http://www.gtc.gr/Tech/ICmister-2.htm The photos are many so i think you can understand the story (even if it;s Greek). Try to translate the last two paragraphs where the summary and results are explaned. If you want you can see the 1st part as well...(link into the above page) Great results when outside temp is up to 30Celcious or more. Next mod..... Water Injection into the engine (custom DIY system) Parts already gathered Plan for installation Functionallity tests before installations Measures with Vag-Com and LM1, LM3 (A/F, Boost, EGT, RPM, etc) (if you here a BIG BANG ....that's me testing water/Alchool mixtures into my engine)... ![]()
