| If A Coil Pack Fails And You Need To Travel Any Distance, How Do You Minimise Any Ris The ECU is clever enough to cut the fuel to a troubled cylinder, but will try again periodically to see if the problem is resolved. Therefore although it will avoid massive damage to the catalytic converter, some unburnt fuel may pass through. Personally, I would say contact your dealer asap, and arrange getting the car to them to replace the coil. If it is some distance, try a local dealer or use the AA to get your car to the dealer - it's what the cover is there for. |
