|  noisy 1.8 petrol octavia vrs Bought the car two months ago and when you start it from cold it sounds like the manifold is blowing but after 20-30 seconds the noise vanishes off with a whistle. Is this normal for this car? Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated!! Cheers! |

| Re: noisy 1.8 petrol octavia vrs It's the secondary air pump, they are often noisy, though it wouldn't do any harm to check the pipework. |

| Re: noisy 1.8 petrol octavia vrs hi mate, dont worry about it. its the seccondry air pump kicking in, its completly normal. it happens on mine every cold start and now and again when running warm.
