Panel Filter or Induction Kit

Is a panel filter or an induction kit better on the Fabia TDi/vRS models. I know on a petrol, the induction kit is better but was just wondering why all the fabia owners were fitting Green panel filters?

Going to order a Green panel filter tomorrow and have the Ibi PD160 air intake on order (but they're out of stock).

What can I expect of these mods on a 1.9TDI 100bhp?
