Question Service Now Reset on Variable Servicing

Just had my Car Serviced by a local Garage, a good mate of mine does a good jo and I know the work has been done. But he doesn't have the kit to reset the Service Now Warning on Startup on the Maxi-Dot Display, anyone know if I can do this via a few button presses, turn of key etc. Have searched the site but didn't find anything with reference variable serviing.

Anyway I am on variable servicing and the Car has covered 38K Miles, so next service approx 55-60K.

Any help greatly appreciated, saving me a trip to the not so local dealer, assuming they would reset it anyway as they didn't service it?

Its either the dealer or someone with VAG-COM if on variable servicing.

Thanks for the quick respose.

If I reset it manually and moved to fixed servicing, what are the service intervals? is it 12months or 10K Miles? Because at present the car is 2yrs old at Chrimbo, I did 32K in it during the first 12months and just short of 6K this year so fixed could be an option I suppose.

Normal Service intervals are 10,000 miles or 12 months, whichever is sooner. In your case 10,000 miles!

On the Octavia 2 the intervals for fixed are,

10,000 or a year. But at a year it only has a lube.

No inspection service is required until 20k or 2 years.
