They are very good with all VAG cars, they are currently custom mapping my car after having Neuspeed pulleys and a 3" downpipe and race CAT fitted, latest dyno run netted 270BHP (I have a K04 and stacks of other mods!). My car is a 2001 SEAT Leon Cupra BTW, some pics here: http://gallery74234.fotopic.net/c211045.html

I wouldn't trust my car to anyone else.

Thanks, Rob - useful feedback. I feel more power early next year - in time for Knockhill?

Jim has just finished custom mapping my car yesterday, net result is 278BHP and 269lbft - I'm over the moon! I think the 3 inch downpipe with 100 cell metal race CAT made a big difference - remember this is a K04-001 on a Leon Cupra, not the bigger K04-023 on the S3/Cupra R etc. This is achieved at 1.2 BAR of boost which is well within the specs of the turbo too! Here's the dyno graph:

So much for all these people that say the K04-001 isn't worth upgrading to! This mapping is by Star Performance, nothing to do with APR, REVO, etc., all Jim's own work.

RobDon,

Very nice car...where did you get those alloys from and what are they, size, cost etc.?

Engine looks mint.

My wheels are 8 x 18" Compomotive MO in a metallic anthracite finish, genuine motorsport wheel that is strong, light and clears Brembos easily without spacers. I got them for £650 delivered through Martin at Reyland Motorsport
