| Stereo Head Unit Advice I've just bought a TDI elegance H/B. I would like to retain the boot changer but somehow replace the head unit with another that has some sort of flip off panel for added security. Does anyone know which brand/model etc will allow me to do this? Thanks in advance |

| This is where it get complicated. Assuming the stereo is the same as the RS, the headunit is made by Grundig and if I remember the changer is made by panasonic. I think you could proberbly use a panasonic headunit although you will need to run another cable from the changer to the replacement stereo as the original one has got blaupunkt style connectors on the end.

| I'd try your local specialist for this. I have used Greens in Blackpool on several occasions for this type of thing, though normally getting a CD changer to go with the head unit. There are many many special connectors available enabling lots of different manufacturers head units to talk to changers of others. Head Unit is definately Grundig, unsure as to the origin of the changer, though your local shop should be able to figure it out (your dealer may even know?). Once they know what the Changer is they'll be able to point you at the Headunits that fit, this is what i'll be doing with my 03 RS when it arrives !
