| Tarox Strada, Sensor? I just ordered a set of Tarox Strada fast road pads for the front of my Octy mk1 and it dawned on me that i didn't ask if they have the wear sensors in them. Anybody know one way or the other? If they don't, how hard is it gonna be to disable the warning beep that comes on. Or do pads without the sensor not cause the beep?

| Re: Tarox Strada, Sensor? I think the wear sensor is just two soft conductive `pins` such that when the pad nears being worn out the disc completes the circuit. If that is the case then you just need to suitable cover the connector for the wear indicators to prevent ingress of dirt. For that you could just cut off the old connector from the pads and put it in there with a small amount of tape over the cut off wire.

| Re: Tarox Strada, Sensor? me pads came today and they actually do have the sensors in them so no worries there. although i do wonder at how much safty margin is built in to these things. Do they actually have a 1000 miles left in them when the light comes on, who knows pads are cheap anyway.

| Re: Tarox Strada, Sensor? There is usually quiet a large safety margin. On one of my old cars the pad light came on, and I still drove nearly 1K milles more before changing them. Even then there was still plenty of pad left, I got fed up with the lamp on the dash.
