Yep - for oil temp get a new sump plug and get it drilled out to house the oil temp sensor. Plug sits on the back of the sump so should be OK.

I'll be doing mine in the next week or two.

From previous playing:

WHITE: HEATER
BLACK: SIGNAL
GREY: EARTH

On three wire sensors you will have one of each, on four wire there will be two heater wires. Not sure what is on the Skoda.....but on the FIAT, 4 wires were present and was able to observe the signal on the BLK wire and earthing to the exhaust using an oscilloscope. Again...not sure of what is on the Skoda....so be careful, no responibility taken blah blah, covering own back etc!!!!

Hope that helps!!!
/Gavin

This site has some info. The Favorit, Felicia and Octavia 1.6 (no other engine sizes listed) all use the Universal 11984 as a replacement which ties in with Gavin's advice on wiring colours. Look at Wire Colours (1) if you want to get really confused by the various permutations of colours used by manufacturers!

Paul - be interested to know what the 5 wires are if you found out. Take it it's 5 on the pre-cat?

Cheers
