| Been struggling to clean off baked-on brake dust from the alloys. After trying several cleaners, I decided to try spraying WD-40 on a rag. result: baked-on brake dust wipes off as easy as pie! Stuff that resisted Meguir's wheel cleaner, hand cleaner, hard rubbing. followed by a washing and some wax to prevent another build-up. Bas

| Re: Tip: amazing cheap brake dust remover I did my wheels yesterday with the following: 1. shampoo and rinse 2. brake dust removal with a toothbrush and WD40 3. shampoo and rinse 4. treatment with Turtlewax brakedust barrier I'm going to see how I get on with the brakedust barrier, apparently next time I clean the wheels the brakedust should just rinse off
