Windscreen washers - front, rear and off

A few weeks ago I had to take the Octavia in for a service, & got the rear washer fixed at the same time; apparently the water pipe disconnects if the nozzle's frozen and you try & use the washer. I was in again this morning for something else (spare key) and this time got the FRONT washers fixed, for exactly the same reason.
Anyone else come across this? Is it something you can do without having to put the car on ramps, because I don't much fancy having to take it in specifically for a broken windscreen washer if it happens again!

There is apparently a common problem with the front washer hose getting caught in the wiper mechanism and shearing. This happened to mine, and the dealer fixed it (on the forecourt) in about five minutes, including cable tying the hose out of the way so it didn't happen again.

Hmm...never come across the front's coming off, but I've heard quite
a few about the rear tube just sliding off. It happened to mine, they
fixed it pretty quickly...

I'd guess the front hoses are all under that bit of plastic at the front of
the screen (scuttle or cowling? I get it mixed up)...

Speaking of keys...does anyone know if it's possible to get the key
upgraded to one of those "flippy" ones?

Rob.

Yes this happened to me when i didnt put a high enough concentration of screen wash in the bottle.

The rear jet stopped working and i thought id have to remove the tailgate trim. I then discovered that it was only a connection that had come apart in the engine compartment. - Easily fixed.

If you get your son to operate the rear washer jet while you look under the bonnet, you'll see it easily enough.
Its on the right hand side of the engine compartment, but to the left of the right hand suspension turret.
Look for black tubing and a connection that should just clip back together.

Any help on whereabouts the inlet tubes under the bonnet are for the front & rear washers on the Octavia? I'm a bit short on the "help" part at the times I need to do it!
