Leics/Notts/Derbys meet

Several folk in this part of the world have suggested it was time we had a meet, but no firm arrangements have been made yet, AFAIK.
So could I suggest we have a mini-meet one summer evening, to put faces to names and make plans for future meets?
I would like to suggest the following:
Venue: The Waterside Inn, Mountsorrel (LE12 7BB; off A6 between Leicester and Loughborough)
Meals, bar meals and veggie options available.
Map: available from here
Date & Time: from 7pm onwards, Thursday 8th September

Everyone is welcome, but it would be nice to know who's coming, so please add to the list:

1 bryand (yellow Fabia vRS)
2 johnyardley (red Fabia PD100++)

If my car arrives by then I would love to come along ... but still not heard a delivery date from the dealer.

I've been to that pub before ... but just for a pint, not for food. Nice location for a summer's evening.

Will put name down definitely when the car appears.

Aww that's a good idea.

I have been off sick from work today so haven't managed to lift the phone to the dealer - lazy muppet that I am. But equally well they still haven't phoned me despite it being about 1 week to their original (vague) delivery date. I will try to remember to call them tomorrow.

But meanwhile:

Ahh, go awn then. I might even wash it, seen as it's a special occasion an'all

. I washed it yesterday and received a bird **** the size of a football all over the rear screen for my troubles.

Spoke to the dealer today; the car's in the country but won't be with them till the early part of next week, so barring a miracle I won't get it until around next weekend (i.e. just after the meet). So please don't laugh at the old AX!

Well, they say people look like their dogs ...
If it's fine, we'll be outside drooling over motors. I hope Gavin makes it - never seen two yellow vRSes together.
If it's wet, we'll either be outside getting soaked or in a huddle inside, gathered round some Skodabits.

lol, only just realised i went to that pub after going to the skoda dealer in mountsorrel.

isnt it a small world.....or maybe i just went ot ever skoda dealership in east mids lol

They'd already lost the franchise when I went to that pub last ... rather a shame as it cut the number of local dealers down and reduces competition. Probably why Farmers offered me an appallingly poor price for my new Fabia and why I'm not getting it from them.
