ha ha, i have no problem organising a meet as long as people are going to show up.

Think we need to get a list together of people willing to come, maybe next month some time in November?

Ok then, i was thinking a Sunday daytime?

The only weekend I'm not free is second weekend of November as I'm away 9th, 10th & 11th

Apart from that then I'm free most weekends

I was thinking

1. Meet up in pub, talk about how much we love our cars, have some lunch (Sunday dinner/ pizza hut, what ever) then maybe a hour or 2 bowling?

(anyone with VAG-COM could bring it along for members to have there cars checked if they we're feeling nice)

Other than that i could have a look at organising a rolling road somewhere then do the above after?

any other ideas are welcome

Nick

Ok, just to let you all know I've been speaking with someone on another forum i used to be a member of (Astra Owners Club | Astra Sport - Designed for all Astra Drivers LS to SRi, Envoy to VXR) and we've been in the process of organising a Midlands meet and someone mentioned a rolling road day in Telford, £25 each as long as it's over 10 people.

How would people feel about joining the 2 clubs and having a showdown between us and the Vauxhall's. See who can get the highest BHP or something like that?

Date at the min is Sat 17th November

Place is called Vauxsport in Shiffnal
Postcode is TF11 8SD

Everyone let me know your thoughts a.s.a.p

I would turn up if this was the meet but only having a standard Furby vRS theres not much point in me putting it on the rolloing road. Still good idea for meeting people etc.

I would personally rather spend £25 on a nice pub lunch and a pint, have a chat etc.

Not fussed though.

...Id come along to that, I only live 30mins drive from Shiffnall. But I dont have a big bhp Skoda to put on the rollers, only my slightly more than standard favorit. I would however like to put it on the rollers anyway just to see what difference my exhaust has made.

Also, if the above isnt possible, shall we have a poll on what day (saturday or sunday) and which weekend in November we want to have a west mids meet on?

As soon as we get a clearer idea of whats going on I could post the details on the Skoda owners club forum and maybe some of thier members would like to come to boost the numbers?

Only date I wont be able to make is the 18th november (sunday)

Lets get this thing organised!
