Notts/Mids convoy to Birsk BBQ

Thought i'd start a post for the midlanders who are attending the BBQ.

i know that
jim_campbell and sharkrider are from notts and going, Bryand ??

anyone got an idea or place to meet, as i quite fancy going in convoy (especially with bryand, two yellow's side by side

) for the fact i dont trust myself with directions, plus it would be nice to arrive as a group rather than singley.

So feel free to chuck in your ideas times places etc etc

I'll be joining at J30, think Sharky will be at J34. Woodall stop and Woolley Edge stop for the Sheffield boys?

Probably be leaving early as my SDI is very slow and I might have trouble keeping up with you boys in your souped up rocket ships

I'll meet at Tibby services and we can meet the next bunch at Woolley edge. That way there will only be 2 stops for everyone. What do you think?

I'll be leaving about 8ish to get there for that time, wave to me as you pass me....

Big road works between M18 jct and Meadowhell turnings, 3 cameras IIRC - you have been warned.....

cool. wooley edge will be fine for me, 9:30 yes? just to check, is that the next services north of sheffield? (J31 A57..)

PMR = Personal Mobile Radio (the walkie talkie things).

Good for overtaking round blind bends, talking to each other on motorways, co-ordinating convoys etc etc

Okay, I will join you because I think it is own my route, but can you give me a deffianate place, WTF is tibby?

I am not ashamed to admit I am really very afraid of doing this drive! I could end up anywhere in the UK! Can someone PM me with mobile numbers, and I'll give you mine?

Tibby is short for Tibshelf services on the M1 between Junction 28 and 29. I would have thought that using the M1 would be a little out of your way and maybe a M6 route would be better, but you are welcome to join us and we will make sure you get there. I'll send you my Mobile number and we can talk about it.

To sumerise for late comers.
tibshelf services at about 8:40 should be jim, bryand vrsfab and my good self.
then onto wolly edge services for 9:30 where we should join taviaRS and sharkerider.

not entierly sure where, or if, emily shall join us but im sure between us all we'll have everyone's mobile

for reference, heres mine (and yes i know i'm posting it on a publicew forums but i'm changing it soon and get enough nusense calls so not all that bothered)
