Went up this Saturday but got their too late and it was raining so could not run. Wanted to race my girlfriends race car (Mini) but could not and the Sunday was a Mini Only event

Hopefully can make it this time though.

I'll be up there on that day already with another group so will keep my eyes open for you. You should notice me as I'll be either up against a silver MKIV Golf or yellow Ibiza.

I went yesterday and it was good weather at the start, nice and cool but then drizzled a bit. It soon brightened up and I got sunburnt however the rain returned and went away slowing everything down. Anyway it was my first time on the strip ever so I wasn't sure what to expect. My first couple of runs was against my mate in his hybrid Ibiza FR running 228bhp. He got 15.0 twice and I got 15.7 and 2nd time 16.1. I was very dissapointed as I just couldn't get the start right and could never keep the times consistent. The best time I got of the day was a 15.54 but just could not launch properly spinning in first and 2nd. I think I tried a bit too hard. At least I know what I need to work on for the next time I go. Was a good day all in and the jet car at the end was absolutely deafening.
