| Hi, my octavia 1.9tdi air flow recirculation button is not working, it won't stay in when pressed. Is there an easy way to fix this apart from a new one? Any advice would be welcome. cheers |

| It's normally an indication of a flap motor being jammed or broken. If you could get the fault codes read it would tell you.

| If the air direction is set to the windscreen it will not allow recirculate, set it to the floor position and try it. |

| Thankyou fordfan, your answer solved my problem. When I think about the reason for the recirculation function not being available on the screen position it seemed logical. It would be almost impossible to demist a damp windscreen with this function engaged. |
