Re: boot catch (light on dash )

Sounds like the switch has popped out of the catch.

Re: bott catch (light on dash )

You have a catch on your bott? Are you prone to the squitters?

PS a friendly mod can edit your thread title for you

Re: boot catch (light on dash )

thread title fixed.

for the light to illuminate there must be a short circuit, so check the connections to the catch and also the catch microswitch function.

Re: boot catch (light on dash )

Id say there is an open circuit rather than a short circuit.

I would think the switch has fallen out of the catch,

Re: boot catch (light on dash )

Have you tried moving the striker back up? You may have it to low so its not fully engaging.

Re: boot catch (light on dash )

Could well be.

Does the light go out if the flick the catch all the way around with a screwdriver?
