Bengie, you've replaced clutch, gearbox and most of the suspension so far, so why not try that BOV and see what it does to the engine?! Alternatively you could stick with a tried and tested Bailey, Forge or similar recirculating DV...which is what the engine is designed to use.

I have the Bailey dv26 BOV it has been on about 18 months and sounds great! with no apparent problems.(however my car is not re-mapped) fitting was also a doddle and throttle response is better well you pays your money and takes your choice

i have heard/read that BOV's dont work when the car is remapped due to increased boost pressure or something... basically generates an engine fault code and pops the engine management light on iirc.

with a jabba induction kit and bailey recirc mines plenty loud enough.

Bengie, you're best just getting a CAI if you want a BOV type sound. My recommendation would be the ABD item as it includes a seperate pipe for the oil breather rather than a seperate filter like most other kits. This gives plenty of induction noise whilst reducing engine noise.

just wondering, i have already changed the standard DV to one from jabba(not sure of make) and wanted a louder tish when changing gear(i'm childish and proud).

so would the CAI have the desired result noise wise aswell as improving throttle responce?

CAI will definately make the "pstsh" more apparent as well increase induction roar.
