| Briskodian | Brake wear indicator My brake wear indicator light has been coming on most of the time for a while now so I decided to take the front wheels off and have a look what's going on. All pads are fine, although this isn't significant because the brake wear indicator cable was cut...... So, I tried insulating the two wires to see if this turned the warning off, it didn't, then I tried joining the two wires to see if that turned the warning off, it didn't..... Each time I turned the ignition off and took the key out, is it neccasary to disconnect the battery to get warning lights to reset or anything like that? With brake pads with a wear sensor in the would it be open circuit when they're worn or closed? Thanks |

| Briskodian | Re: Brake wear indicator that's my worry! Does anybody know how I could test that?! Or how could I fool the system into turning the warning light off by some other means? |

| Re: Brake wear indicator try a volt meter on the cable to see if any voltage is reaching the sensor would be my 1st test.

| Re: Brake wear indicator If you join the two wires properly then it should go out. Providing your fluid level is ok. |
