| Sounds like a sensor has gone defective, a VAG COM check can identify which one.

| Are these factory fit or retro fit in the rubbing strip? I sometimes get this if it's been raining and some water is "caught" between sensor and hole it is located in, in the rubbing strip. Also if the sensor has been pushed in slightly it will detect the rubbing strip.

| Just pull the fuse and reverse like a man, with no electronic aids - The beeping is irritating anyway.

| Same happened to me, twiddled with wires in boot and hey presto. I have already asked the question in the Superb forum, but because I've got an Octavia (2002 TDI Elegance MK1), I just noticed that my reverse parking sensor only seems to be utilising the driver's side back door tweeter and not the passenger side, is this right? |

| There is only one speaker and its located behind the B pillar trim. The sound is not produced using any of the normal car speakers, so you get sound from one side only.

| Excuse my stupidity but where is the B pillar trim located? Mine is definitely coming from the tweeter in the back driver's side door. They are disconneted from the stereo for the sole purpose of hearing the parking sensor! Seems a bit of a waste to me. Thanks in advance |

| the B pillar is the where the front passenger seat belts are located. There is a separated speaker for them in there (trust me i fitted my own) and with it being close to the tweeter you think its coming from there when its not |

| I heard they disconnected the tweeters in the door for parking sensor as my tweeters don't work with the car stereo, could be another issue... ![]() |
