| I'm trying to replace the off side rear shelf on my Octy Hatch, because it's broken and the parcel shelf keeps falling off it. I've undone all the bolts, and undone the seat belt bolts top and bottom, but I can't get the seat belt through the shelf. There's a square plastic cover the seat belt feeds through. It sits on the rear trim but appears to actually be attached to the inertia reel underneath. Haynes said "prise it off", so I did and now I've snapped it. ![]() Most of it is still stuck to the inertial reel and won't budge. The reel won't come free until this top piece is removed. I can probably stick the two pieces back together, but my question is: how on earth do you remove it? Is there a lug I've missed, or does it just slide off with immense force? Grrrr J

![]() Sorry, I genuinely don't have a clue, but I'd guess you could pic a new one up from a breakers.

| Well, I took the side trim and the inertia reel off together, and then the seat belt cap thingie slid off - more forwards than straight up as the reel was actually at quite an angle. Have put it all back together again with the broken one on, but it's looser now so it should come off easier. Have got a replacement coming from SkoParts for about £4. J
