caliper compression tool...where to buy?

I was trying to change my rear pads today however could not compress the piston, i was reading somewhere you can use pointy pliars to turn the piston clockwise

how does the tool work? is it a function of compressing it, or is it turning it clockwise (there is 2 notches in the piston to turn it)

any help would be great as i want to try and have another go tomorrow

lastly if i really need to buy the tool, where can i get one?

thanks

I fabricated my own device, but you need to turn and push at the same time.... or certainly that was my experience.
I think there are some generic kit that will fit various breaking systems.
