| Calling all Techies Hi folks, My octi rs is due for it's 20k service next week. The thing is, my dealer reckons it will just need a filter and oil change, and thats it. He has only sold 2 RS's and would not be familiar with the detailed servicing that is required. In saying all that, I could not fault him in any other way. I need your help as regards what it is exactly the car should be getting done. I have heard that our brake fluid has to be changed, but the dealer has never heard of that Regards, Paul

| If you are on fixed servicing which it sounds like it is then a 20k consists of.... Oil Oil Filter Pollen Filter Inspection If you are taking it to a Skoda dealer then they must have current and upto date service sheets and inspection manuals. Not knowing what is done at a particular service is a lousy excuse. vRS servicing is no different to a normal Octavia. The only Octavia that is different is the 4x4 where it has the Haldex coupling to service. Brake fluid is every two years regardless of milegae. |

| Your service book defines what should be done, try reading that - your dealer should know that without being told! ![]() |

| Generally you actually make more money servicing variable cars than 10k's. Its just you have to wait longer for it..lol. |
