| Re: For a cambelt change should I replace the hydraulic damper as well. opinions plea Yes. They're a common cause of failure, the seal dies which allows the oil to leak out, resulting in a loss of tension which lets the belt skip.... not good at all. It's a false economy not to IMHO.
