| Guys, I am confused as to what the official 0-60 or 62mph time is for the Octy vRS, I have looked at multiple websites that state 7.9 secs and alot that state its 6.7 secs. This is a fair old jump between the same car. I am not confusing the new with the old either...... Help!! |

| The early press demo car was rumored to have been tweaked a little compared to the production vehicles. This is where the error is. |

| So do we agree that its the 7.9 then? Its just I had an S3 on loan for about 2 months and it doesn't feel much slower than that........ |

| 7.9 for a standard car would seem about right. Though I'm sure lots of people would claim their standard car is faster ![]() |

| Such a shame, it must be all those BMW drivers dragging their asses then If you find anything that contradicts this I'd be very interested. I am sure I read about the press cars having 225 engines...... |

| More likely a mild remap on a standard engine. |

| Yeah someone might have noticed the extra intercooler and the throttle body on the wrong side.

| When breathed-on a bit the car picks up a lot quicker although traction is limiting factor to a good start... It's not really a dragster though, especially on oily asphalt at traffic lights. The acceleration on the move is more impressive.

| that S3 would destroy a standard vRS off the line, take a look at the video of me (remapped 4x4) Vs Phil(remapped FWD) and see how mu i jump ahead at the start and i am running about the power of a standard S3 but so is Phil so an S3 Vs a standard vRS would be quite different ![]() not sure about on the move as the S3 has 45bhp more and the 6 speed box ![]()

| I managed 7.6 at Trax '05, and 7.6 with my Race Technolgy AP-22 Performance Meter, both with traction control off. Only mod is Carbonio CAI. |

Passed the NSL signs at the edge of town, booted it in 3rd round a very very shallow right hand bend and must have found a greasy bit of road ![]()

| The S3 did destroy the RS off the line, basically cos you can dump the clutch with the revs at 4 grand, you have to love haldex couplings It must be the way it picks up when you get into second and third then, the 5 speed box is certainly more friendly than the 6 though..... |
