| What's the quickest way to demist the windsreen on an Octy? Mine took the best part of 10 minutes this morning and wasn't completely clear even then With my Vectra, if you set to full demist and switched on the aircon, the screen was clear in a minute or so. Is there some way with Climatronic that you can speed up the process? ![]()

| Dunno if I'm honest just set to HI and full fan speed on the de-mist function. Bear in mind though that A/C doesn't work at low ambient temps so you don't get the de-humidifying effect... |

I drive like this 90% of the time and it keeps the windows clear. If you read the owners manual, it will tell you the same thing. JD

| Wind your drivers window down just a touch, you will hear the air comes out of the vents quicker, and will demist the window slightly faster. Andrew |

Rain-X is also one of my must-haves! Theres other products that do the same thing, but thats the one I use. The way the rain just repels off the glass is fantastic, but again needs re-applied every 3-4 weeks. As for the windows misting back up, its not the Octavia I'm driving but I've found that aircon or recirculation systems can get moisture stuck in them, causing the windows to mist up. Sounds related, but I'm sure the advice above about the ECON will help. | |
