Unhappy Drivers window has gone for a sh!t....

Can anyone help.....

I need to get the drivers door card off to inspect my electric window mechanism, it has been making some clunking noises lately and I dare no lower it as I fear it will not go back up!!

Has anyone else had this problem? If so what is the best/easiest way of removing the door card?

Many thanks

Steve

Re: Drivers window has gone for a sh!t....

If you have a Haynes manual that covers it reasonably well.

From memory:
remove tweater
remove torex screws from around the side of the trim
remove the electric mirror adjuster switch
remove a rubber trim around the back of the grab handle
remove a number of large screws
remove the grab handle assembly
pull trim away at bottom of door and unclip power to light
ease the trim upwards - it will be a tight fit near to the rubber at the top.
then remove the power to the 'locked' flashing LED at the top of the trim.
