Electric Windows

I got a little problem with my Octavia Mk1,i'm not sure if it's a problem or not,but when one of the front windows is closed and I push the button to make sure that the window is closed i can hear a very strange sound,it's like the little electric engine is struggling to close that window even more. All 4 windows are electrical powered, but for example,If one of the back windows is closed and I try to "close it more" I can hear a little click and nothing more,it's like for the back windows I have some king of "sensor" which feels that the window is already closed so the electric engine won't try to close it more.I hope you understand what I mean

This is my first post,I've been watching this forum every day since may 2008 and I saw many interesting things in here...so keep it up,you're doing a great job.

Re: Electric Windows

That doesn't sound right; they should all behave like your back ones. As a first step, get out the owner's manual and look for how to reset the fully closed position.

Re: Electric Windows

Had a similar problem on mine. Unfortunately, what had happened was that the cable had separated and became tangled when opening/closing.
I followed a link on here which detailed in photographs how to remove the inner door to get access to the motor.
May be worth looking for that and checking to see what the problem may be.
