| The clutch will wear faster but as long as it's serviced regularly and not completely abused there is no reason why it should last noticably less than a standard one.

| You might even go so far as to say that a remapped octy would last longer than a standard one coz it dosn't need to be worked so hard to attain same acceleration/speed....I'll fetch my coat ![]()

Now at a steady 79MPH on cruise I average over my 80 mile drive to work 42MPG. Running at 90MPH on the autobahn never see less than 35MPG.Track day thrash and real hooning 21MPG Oh and 4.5 litres = approx 1 gallon. Chris

| 31.13mpg up to the remap at around 6200 miles. Mileage now 14445 and mpg is 31.54 overall. I guess any increase in fuel consumption from greater use of the performance available has been offset by the engine loosening up and fuel consumption improving for that reason. That's for a 4X4 which can be remapped to give much the same power increase as a vRS. Whatever, I'm very happy!

90mph @ ~35mpg! That's very good mate. At that speed, I get about 30-31mpg max on a autobahn journey.

| 23 MPG in 3rd for about 100 miles at 5 to 7k give or take. Sorry 23.1 ![]() M-way...50 to 50x2 I'll pull 34/35 avg. Depends where you are to behonest..flatlands good economy, hilly areas, well the trip comp won't calculate below 5mpg. Remapping technically feels like it's improved MPG slighlty, but thats typically offset by an increased use of the rev range ![]()

| Mine averages about 31 MPG also. Goes up to between 40 and 45 cruising on the motorway. Best average I have had to date was just over 35MPG though.

| When I went to the ring, for the whole journey from the UK to Nurburg I averaged 37MPG, and could get from my house to the destination on one tank full.
