Re: Extra gauges.....

Looking good! I just fitted mine a couple of weeks back. I went for the same combination but positioned them differently.

Please excuse my complete inability to use a camera.

Re: Extra gauges.....

They're Megan racing gauges from America, unfortunately that means that the sender thread was imperial and the oil temp reads in Fahrenheit but it's not a major problem.

Re: Extra gauges.....

Very nice gauges VRSPhil!

I opted for the standardish look.....I really wanted my gauges to have matching red needles, but couldn't find anything like that for all the tea in China..... Mine are green back lit so they match the other dials just nice.

Re: Extra gauges.....

You should have gone for the VDO ones then Steve, as i wanted the same standardish look and found these to be the closest

Re: Extra gauges.....

The actual gauges are ease enough to fit as all you have to do is tap the dimmer switch from the headunit and wire a switched 12V supply from under the drivers peddles.

Its what the gauges are attached to what causes probelms

Re: Extra gauges.....

I fancied VDO gauges too but the ones I could find seemed odd (3 bar on the boos gauge for example).

Mine went in without much problem, It took about 2 hours from the gauges arriving to being fully installed, would probably be a bit quicker second time around.

Re: Extra gauges.....

mine was a little longer as i was a wuss with the scuttle panel and couldnt get the original oil pressure switch unclipped and ended up mullering it and having to repair it.

Re: Extra gauges.....

Ic3man, where did you get your pod from? or was it a universal one trimmed to fit?
