Default Forge Engine Remap?

Hi guys,

I was browsing the Forge site for a phone number to ring and book the car in for the FMIC and TIP and I happened to come across this....

http://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/con...duct=FMIPROSKO

(Well it would be rude not to browse around!)

Now my plan was to go up to APR (another 300 miles either way for me) later in the week, after having the Forge bits put on BUT im now thinking I'll let Forge have a go! They can do a full custom remap enhanced specifically for my engine/mods and the price is very competitive. They will run 1.1 bar of boost which seems a reasonable and safe amount to me and will offer a full money back guarantee if Im not 100% satisfied.

Does anyone have any experience of the Forge remaps or any general advice for me? The name isnt big in remapping so I guess thats my main worry.

I spoke to Richard (formally worked for Revo and APR if that means anything) at Forge this morning however and he was able to answer all questions posed. I'd just like a customers 'outside' view if possible.

Cheers,

Lee

I've spoke to a few people who've had Forge remaps, mainly members of SCN and they've all been very happy.

As you say Richard has the experience given who his previous employers are.

It would gain 25 hp, but how much torque?

My opinion is that is has to be good, since
they already have a good name.
Also there is that warranty, so they are quite sure of themselfs.
For me the consideration for that (and almost everything);
is there anybody else in the area who can do it cheaper
for the same (high) quality.
If not do it the shortest way.

p.s. if more members (in your area) are interested maybe a discount
is possible, saves you a few bugs on that (big) amount of cash
(or is it a stupid thing to say...)

If Custom Code didn't exist, I'd go to Forge.

Rich really knows his stuff.

Thanks for the input chaps. I was previously thinking of Custom Code stage 2 and then APR stage 2 but having Forge do it simply makes a lot of sense as I'll be there for the FMIC and pipe and my time is really valuable lately.

Im already booked in for a dyno session later in the week so I'll have a good idea of how much difference its made in terms of peak figures. I hope to be seeing 225bhp and 250lb/ft but we'll see.

Cheers again,

Lee
