| Briskodian | Front suspension bushes Hello All, Picked some bushes up for my front suspension today (see pic) Reading the Haynes manual it says that you need a hydraulic press to remove the old ones. Anyone done this without a press? (A vice perhaps?) Also do I need to replace the bolts with new ones? It mentions something about 'self-locking' bolts must be replaced.... Thanks.

| Re: Front suspension bushes I normally replace the arms, have found when pressing out standard bushes it normally spreads the arm and have seen them pop out again. |

| Briskodian | Re: Front suspension bushes You can do it with a vice, the hardest part is getting them to move to start with, once they are on the move its ok. Dont forget you will need some sort of cup to support the arm and for the old bush to fall into, and you will need a suitable sized socket or similar to push the new one in. Dont forget to line the arrows up with the marks on the arm. Of course it is much eaier if you have access to a press, and even easier if you do what Ross says and just buy new arms with bushes preinstalled. |
