| Re: Gear changing That might be a simple quick fix at your local service centre. I had something similar with my Golf on about the same mileage. First gear was getting very hard to get in to. They took it in for an estimate and fixed it on the spot by adjusting the linkage. |

| Re: Gear changing Hope you don't end up with the same problems mines having - only briefly had my car back during the last 7/8 weeks due to gear selection/de-selection problems. Dealer has been told to do everything by Skoda and so far failed to solve the problems, Skoda still won't authorize a new box but can see it ending up with getting one fitted! |

| Re: Gear changing I would think that an adjustment of the gear linkages may be all that is required. Even though my local dealer insisted it was the clutch when my fabia did similar.

| Briskodian | Re: Gear changing If it's just a pair of gears opposite eachother (1&2, 3&4) it's the corresponding selecting lever in the linkage, an easy adjustment/replacement. Just don't grind it too much into gear until you get it sorted.

| Re: Gear changing Start with checking the linkage adjustment. If it's not that, check the "console bush" bolts are stupidly tight, and then that the "dogbone" doesn't need replacing. |
