| Briskodian | I have finally got rid of the worst car I have ever owned I owe a big thanks to everyone on here who has helped me through this nightmare, you have saved me a lot of time trying to diagnose each weekly fault. It is a shame though I really liked the Octavia when I bought it. I had visions of getting it Jabbed up to 200+ bhp, and with all the toys it had it would have been great. But alas, even the dealers could not keep it on the road, it spent about 10% of the time being repaired for one fault after another. In the end I cut my losses and traded it in for a Honda Accord. It is not as quick, not as many toys, but suprisingly handles better. After losing nearly £4.5K in one year on the Skoda in repairs and depreciation, I have lowered my hopes to just having a car that will start each day No doubt I will get bored with it and want something quicker again, but I will have to do a few hours overtime first. Anyway, good luck to you all. Cheers |

| Re: Goodbye Briskoda Good luck with the new car and sorry your Skoda experiences haven't been the best. I must say that my Fabia has had a few little niggles, but obviously nothing in the same league as yours and I'm pleased to say that I'm still in love with it. Enjoy your new motor

| Re: Goodbye Briskoda Thank goodness your experiences of Skoda reliability are unusual - although that is of little consolation to you. I am not surprised that you have decided to move on and wish you all the best with your Honda.

| Briskodian | Re: Goodbye Briskoda Thanks guys I have had 3 Hondas in the past, they never broke down once between them and the only fault I had was to replace a radiator switch. I am missing the turbo already though ![]() Now if I could have stretched to the type R ![]() |
