Green cotton filter

I am considering getting one of these for my 1.8 T Elegance and was wondering where is the best place to order from.

I would be wanting the cleaning/oiling kit as well but the best price i have found so far is £61 for both delivered. The delivery was over £10 is it me or can i get it any cheaper?

got mine from jbs - top service and best price i could find- i didnt have the cleaning kit though so i can't tell you how much it is sos

As for insurance - IMHO i cant see why a replacement filter would be of interest to them ?? its not an engine mod just a better quality re-useable filter.

i think if i get one i will still contact my insurance company. Do you think it is best just to say it is a replcament filter that can be re used? what if they ask if it is a performance increasing mod??? what have other people told their insurance companies?

the panel filter is a replacement for the standard one in the airbox, i'm not sure this needs to go through the insurance or not but its always best to ask them. i wouldnt call it a performance increasing mod though, more a preventative maintanence thing.

Hi all
The cleaning stuff for the Green Cotton filters is £6.50 half litre and £7.99 for a full litre.
The Oil is £10.99 for half litre and £7.99 for quater litre. All prices + VAT
But it has been posted on here by Rich1068 that the cleaner is about the same as washing up liquid.
But the oil is good.
We do not keep it in stock , but I will be looking at getting a bit in stock soon.
I would say that you would be looking at replacing the oil probably 1 to 2 years after fitting the filter.
Cleaning say every year.
If I can help you further please feel free to let me know.
Thanks
Sarah

I am sure i have read somewhere that they need to be cleaned every 5k miles. I assumed it would need re-oiling at the same time too. If i have got the wrong information then i bow down to your superior knowledge Sarah

The instructions with it say every 7.5km it needs to be cleaned and then reoiled It's very easy to do though ... even I managed not to screw it up
