| Heating control Illumination Hi I have an octavia with rotary heating controls (not the climatronic) and have recently noticed they don't light up with the rest of the interior lighting at night- is this because they dont have any backlighting, or because it's broken... in which case does anyone know how I go about fixing it? Many thanks, rob |

| Briskodian | Re: Heating control Illumination Hi Yes they do have backing lights. Was a common problem when I worked at the dealers. You need to replace the whole of the heater pannel as they are LED`s The heater will still work ok So could be worth leaving it? Dont know depends how much you use them in the dark I suppose. Sarah |

| Re: Heating control Illumination some of the octavias do have tiny bulbs behind the heater controlls, you unclip the surround and if you are carefull with some small long nose pliers, they pull out, ive changed a few. Mainly on taxis! |

| ECUless | Re: Heating control Illumination Sarah I think that you are getting confused with Climatronic. In the non Climatronic there is only one illumination bulb which is situated behind the control for the fan. Pull the fan control kn0b off, usually a pair of mole grips with some cardboard padding to prevent damage, pull the bulb out and replace. Can use long nodse pliers very carefully, or a bit of plastic/rubber tube over the bulb. |
