| Briskodian | I bought a 2000 model duel fuel octavia in jan and 3 days after buying the car the gas went on the blink , i informed the garage who told me that the warrantee would have to deal with it, so after a couple of phone calls with the finance company who sold me the warantee told me that the gas wasn't covered and would not be repaired and basiclly fobbed me off..Since then i have stopped paying for the car under the argument that i was sold a car that was unusalbe. Is there anything i can do about it, if anyone knows anything it would be a help Thanks |

| Don't stop paying for the car. Usually the folks that sell the car and the people who provide you with finance are two totally different companies. If you stop paying for the car you will be taken to court and you may have credit problems in the future.Go through your warranty agreement and see what EXACTLY is covered. I would have thought that the fueling system on the car was covered as its hardly wear and tear. If you suspect (as I do) that the gas is covered then seek legal representation. It may also be helpful if you can find who installed the gas system as that may have a warranty of its own.

| If the car went wrong 3 days after purchase it should be repaired by the garage who supplied it under the Sale of Goods act. Speak to your local citizens advice bureau.
