| Briskodian | Re: Help! Octavia 2.0 coil confusion I've seen that the coil is lettered A - D, how does this relate to the cylinders? Am I right to assume that the cylinder to the far left of the engine (looking from the front) is A, and that the one to the right is B, etc. |

| Re: Help! Octavia 2.0 coil confusion According to Haynes, for engines with a single distributorless ignition system (DIS) coil, lead A is for No 1 cylinder, lead B is for No 2 etc. No 1 cylinder is at the timing belt end of the engine.
