| Help please I have discovered a noise that only occurs when I am at right hand full lock. It doesn't happen at low speeds, but if i accelerate (going around a roundabout is a good example)I get a sort of rumbling knocking type noise. My car is a vRS with 49K on the clock. I guess i should say what i have checked. 1.Checked for free play in the wheels and there is none so the bearings seem ok. 2.There is no scuffing on the tyres or wheel arch liner. 3.The suspension seems fine. i.e did the bounce test 4.Checked the dust plates behind the disks to see if it was catching etc. Do any of the mechanical people or Skoda guys out there recognise this? Could it be: The CV joint? I am hoping not as I do not drive it that hard into corners etc But if it is i will be shocked!!! The ARB bushes?

| Dont know, but my old one with suspension mods was mot'd last week with 49K on the clock and passed with no worn out components or advisories on the front end. Could be a joint I suppose or the droplink bushes. What happens if you try the same thing the other way, What happens if you try the same thing going right, slowly on a bumpy surface. do you here any knocking noises then?

| Only here it going the one way (right) Driving normally there is no noise at all. It's only when full or virtually full lock is applied and some power is put down. It's sounding like it's the outer cv boot. Something may have caused the grease to escape. I had it MOT'd in May and they never mentioned anything but saying that I never noticed it until Friday.
