| Help please? Don,t know exactly what you call them but what does everyone think about these handheld "Code Readers" you see on Ebay for sale and also Sealey make one(damn expensive though). I don,t have VAG-COM as i don,t have a Laptop only a PC at home. Are they worth buying? do they really work just like VAG-COM? Sorry to ask but was wondering about them. |

| Re: Help please? VAG_COM will do more and diagnose better than anything except the dealers 5051 or 5052 tool. The handheld tools are better than nothing though, but some can't read any VAG-specific codes, and most won't be able to do coding or adaption. |

| Re: Help please? As I see it the ones sold on Ebay are about as much use as a return ticket on the Titanic. The Sealey one is a little better as you can reset the service interval with it but I think it works out rather expensive if you only mean to use it occaisonally. |

| Re: Help please? I found a VAG-specific unit that looks interesting. Was thinking about getting one tbh - small enough to have on hand in the glovebox, lol. see: ecutool HTH Bas
