| Help on turbos!!! Hi. I have just joined the website so firslty hello to all! i just sold my vfr400 today to buy a octavia vrs when one comes up that takes my fancy and was wondering if any1 could help me regarding turbos. i am wanting to put a larger turbo on and have been told the k04 tt turbo fits straight on. is that true? will i need to put bigger injecters, larger intercooler in? i am going to get it re-mapped when turbo is on. and also would any1 recomend buying a bigger after market turbo? cheers |

| Re: Help on turbos!!! Welcome to Briskoda. Try using Search and you will find plenty of information on turbo upgrades. From what I have read going the gains from using a K04 are not worth the outlay involved.

| Re: Help on turbos!!! Typed K04 into the search box and this came up... http://www.briskoda.net/forums/maint...ight=k04+turbo The turbo doesnt just bolt on, you need the manifold, downpipe etc aswell. |

| Re: Help on turbos!!! Crikey you're keen to upgrade it .Have you driven a standard one yet? They go like stink straight out of the factory, and I believe a simple remap and dump valve upgrade make them even more rapid - sounds a lot cheaper and easier than swapping turbos and injectors, unless you're going for the REALLY big power like some on here have .

| Re: Help on turbos!!! i have always had quick cars and its only a thought really as my girlfriend gave birth 6 months ago so i need something good looking, fairly cheapish for the amount of car you get (hence octavia vrs) and something with abit of poke as also a toy as i cant afford two cars because its expensive being a dad. i drove one yesterday that was apparantly re-mapped had sports cat, exhaust, k&n etc and i wasnt impressed. it had flat spots and wasnt ticking over right. i will find the right one soon. |

| Re: Help on turbos!!! if the one you drove was botched up, then its hardly a fair comparison to a working standard one. lol give it a try first.
