| Briskodian | Hi Peeps, can you please help with something that's been driving me mad? How do I take off the standard issue aerial off the mast off my vRS? It seems to be held in with something even though I have unscrewed it as far as it'll go - it just will not come off ? In case your wondering, the base is staying I'm replacing the standard black aerial with a silver shorter version. I just can't get the thing off ! Thanks in advance, |

| Briskodian | Re: How do I take the aerial off ?? dont come out im afriad. only slacken off so you can put down for car wash etc. only option is to remove complete with base. Have to drop down rear half of roof lining for that. |

| Re: How do I take the aerial off ?? Wind it all the way out, take a deep breath and give it a short sharp tug, the mast will then come out. |

| Briskodian | Re: How do I take the aerial off ?? Ah! Ok thanks, that explains it - I thought it would be the same as my MK2 and MK3 VW Gti's were .As I've only owned the vRS for 2 weeks I don't think I'll chance breaking it. Thanks for the posts, I think there will soon be a short stack silver aerial for sale on an on-line auction website that rhymes with e-day. |
