| I need a good Skoda dealership Please help me out I have some rust spots on my bodywork and need some warranty work doing when I bought the car they ticked the box on the check list "Ensure bodywork free of corrosion or pain defects"!!! Granted they have repaired the rust bubble on the boot hatch but seem to not want to do the other parts. Also the car seems to have a problem with the suspension unit at the front when I go over a bump it seems to come through the steering wheel quite a lot and it never used to do that. I am based in Manchester and I am not too keen on Horner on Bury New Road....by the way that is not where this work was done. Thanks to all... Aaquil. |

| Re: I need a good Skoda dealership The 'review centre' lists all the dealerships - have you tried Horners in Bury. Many reckon they are better than the one in Manchester?

| Re: I need a good Skoda dealership What sort of warranty did you get with the car? If I recall correctly it is a 2002 Octavia so there is no cover left under the original 3 year Skoda UK warranty nor under the SkodaAuto 3 year unlimited mileage warranty against defects in paintwork. However SkodaAuto also provide a 10-year anti-perforation warranty which will be valid if you have met the conditions, but it covers perforation from the inside out due to any defect in the corrosion protection applied to body panels.

| Re: I need a good Skoda dealership I was reading the T&Cs of my Approved Used Warrenty the other day, and I *think* it said that body work wasn't covered. Sorry, but I could be wrong. |

| Re: I need a good Skoda dealership If it is the Skoda Retailer Approved Used Vehicle Programme Elita Vehicle Warranty, all major mechanical and electrical components are covered against breakdown and failure. Cover is for parts and labour, with no excess or hidden charges to pay.

| Re: I need a good Skoda dealership Thanks for that Denis...I called 1 week ago and left a message with the service department for the service manager to call me back...I will call on Monday. I am now getting squeeking from the front suspension when cornering and going over bumps and I can feel a abnormal 'knock' through the steering wheel!!! Should i be concerned? Aaquil. |

| Re: I need a good Skoda dealership If you don't fancy either of the Horners (M'cr or Bury) what about Parkside Skoda in Bolton - should be relatively close for you. Not used them myself, but they get some positive reviews.... http://www.briskoda.net/forums/skoda...-bolton/38327/
