| Jabbasport remap to Mk1 Oct now complete! Had the Octavia VRS MK1 remapped today by Jabbasport. Surprisingly, even though I drove back over 130 miles, I never really got the opportunity to check it out properly The traffic just gets worse and worse these days! Also, being primarily constant movement on dual cabbiageway and motorways, it's difficult to judge the acceleration. Although I most certainly can tell that something is different, I think I need to take her out for a spin later this evening around the roads I am used to.At one time I thought I may be walking back from J/S as they had problems with my ECU locking out, and issues with the checksum of the software on it. Very professional outfit though. Would certainly recommend them BTW - See my sidebar information for the readings (I did hope for 230, but alas, I couldn't be ar$ed to spend a small fortune replacing the perfectly good standard exhaust system).

| Re: Jabbasport remap to Mk1 Oct now complete! Well just back from my local run - ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Boy does it pull. Some plum in Honda Something-Or-Other with a big exhaust tried to pull away from me on a fast road, and I found myself having to just blip the loud peddle now and again to avoid driving through him !! FYI - Other mods (that were already done by Nigel26 before I bought the car off him) are : Jabba Sport induction kit inc cold air feed from bumper. Samco Boost hose kit. Forge TIP Bailey DV30 Recirc valve Polished inlet manifold + Power gasket Also, as I have a company supplied fuel card, I can only run it on 95 RON - which is what the remap was based on. If I put super unleaded in too often, I get told off ![]()

| Re: Jabbasport remap to Mk1 Oct now complete! I'd be telling the company the car was designed to run on high octane fuel. show them your manual! Besides the MPG goes up and the range can increase by 30 to 40 miles per tank so the company shouldn't really be any worse off. Glad your happy with the remap tho - very good figures for 95ron fuel

| Re: Jabbasport remap to Mk1 Oct now complete! Can anybody answer my previous question? How often can you use octane booster without getting any adverse effects? Also, bit miffed here I drove about a 270 mile round trip to Jabba Sport and back, hitting several motorways, and almost the entire length of the A14, my car has Briskoda stickers front and back, and even a private xxx VRS reg plate, and no bugger from here spotted me.I used to drive a rather unique looking MG ZT 190+ with twin dirty big zorsts, limo black windows, etc. and never got spotted in that on the MG forum either. Is it me ![]()

| Re: Jabbasport remap to Mk1 Oct now complete! You can use it all the time, its acuely good for the motor in somerespects, apparently burning the useal crap that gathers in your fuel tank so me mate says, just make sure you only use it when you fill up full. As for not being seen, you where stuck in traffic, now if you cam hairing past me at 140 I woulda noticed. |
