Question JKM air box modification?????

Hi

Ive been looking at different air filters and CAI and been speaking to JKM about the k&n 57i induction kit, as wanted an air filter with a heat shield they have said they offer a standard air box mod which would prob be better just wondered if anyone has got one and if there are any pictures floating around.

cheers

Re: JKM air box modification?????

Id say that its just a definned airbox.

Take the airbox off and remove all the ridges from it. Both the bottom and the top of it and stick a good filter in there

Re: JKM air box modification?????

Taken from cowpers thread in the jkm sponsors section-

We offer an air box modification where by we enlarge the feed into the factory air box and install a large bore feed pipe down into the inner wing area, we smooth the bottom section of the factory air box and we fit a performance panel filter (Green Cotton or K&N).
I don’t have any pictures to hand, but this is a popular modification and it works well. The price for this is £117.50 Inc Vat.
