just had a new DV and CAI

Had my Carbonio and forge dv fitted today, in preparation for a remap, mmmm lovely growl to the engine and nice woosh sound, maybe a bit snappier on the throttle seems better at higher revs too, my fitter found he could leave the engine cover on with no alterations as there was no rubbing, would there be even more noise by removing it?

just got to find a place to remap it now, I had a custom-code on a previous vrs which was fantastic so it looks like Ill use them again if the price is right.

I suppose its right to inform insurance of the change, is it likely to be much higher? - it runs out in a few months then Ill switch to one of the mod freindly ones recommended on here.

Re: just had a new DV and CAI

I don't think removing the engine cover would make any difference.

Great sound isn't it?

If they aren't mod friendly they may sting you. Example CAI, DV, Rear ARB and lower strut brace £200 hike for me with Direct Line I am with Adrian Flux as of 1st August and they are much cheaper plus you get a brisky discount

Oooh another one likes the Darth Vader with a cold sound
I must admit , I love it too
To get extra noise get the 007P put on in reverse , that helps get extra noise

Re: just had a new DV and CAI

Mmm
I think I have had one of those outside my house for the past few nights

My son has his backwards on his MK4 Golf 1.8T and he loves it
I like the sound myself , but each to their own

He has the ABD Lan pipe on his though , not the Carbonio though
