| Re: k03 hybrid k04-001 is supposed to be rubbish. Hybrid ko3s will beat it from what i've read.

| Re: k03 hybrid It all depends which company does the hybrid and mapping to go with it. I have been looking into remaps for my car and i know you have a APR map. APR maps seem to be on the safe side of turbo limits and are conservative on the power output. You could get a harsher remap and gain a little extra out of your turbo, but do you want to? If you go with Hybrid then you need to get the car reamapped again by a different company so factor this in to the final budget. From what i have found Turbo Dymanics offer the best price for a hybrid as Martzinuk has probably dound out. ![]() You must factor in other costs for injectors etc.. and this without fitting will come to around £1000 +vat depending if you use your original K03s as hybrid donor. I have looked into going hybrid and i'm more inclined to go bigger to something like GT28RS in the future than down the hybrid route now. Before you decide to go hybrid i would fit FMIC so eveything is in place to help the engine. It would be good if you can make the RR day @ Awesome on 19th July as i will have a apr stage 2 map on mine by then to compare our cars. From seeing the cars @ Inters on sat 300bhp on FWD are so slow! |

| Re: k03 hybrid APR offer a k04 upgrade, but the usa site use a k04-001 but ive been told the uk use a k03hybrid? its a tr8 conversion with no injectors listed, just a bolt on? APR usa gave me figures of about 280lbs of torque and 240bhp would be seen? i have no idea about the uk kit tho? works out about 2.5k tho, same as the backdraft motorsport k04-001? only thing is i know APR and have enjoyed their chips lol the stage 3+ is suposed to be insane but out of my budget by um? .................................................. ........................... more than this far ![]() ![]()

| Re: k03 hybrid Quote:
For me it will be STAGE 3+ which could be the next step up,but not for around 12-18 months time I have spoken to backdraft and TD about both of their K03s hybrids. If you go over to Seatcupra.net a guy called jamie bennett is doing a GT2x Hybrid conversion on his cupra. | |

| Re: k03 hybrid turbo dynamics can build you a K03s hybrid capable of 300bhp according to them and costs £995+vat ![]() but, and its a big but, this is the end of the line for that setup, dead end. if you go for a garret T25/30 fitment manifold and downpipe etc from the get go and get a cheapy gt28 etc now you can go big later on using the same setup

![]() i just dont see the point in making something slower then trying to make it faster again... you have to admit its abit odd! and as for driving skills everyone can make use of more training.

| Re: k03 hybrid i agree on the training, my very small amount of time on track and going karting a few times etc has helped a lot let alone actual training i'm going to be losing weight from ym car once i have it back as the subs etc probably won't be going back into it and i might even look for some lighter wheels ![]()

| Re: k03 hybrid ok mate no worries, lol i will be the 1st to admit that the 20s didnt help anything on take offs lol and hard cornering lol it alot better with the rear arb its gained another 10mph on my local fun roundabout lol my 18s had a obviously quciker take of than now, so i was thinking if a k04-001 or k03 hybrid would put that bit more pull further up the revs that my somewhat daft sized rims have cost me lower down lol last thing is to spin these daft costly tyres everytime ![]() lol odd indeed but i want everything lol bit of speed some ice and big wheels lol lol what else is on the menu lol brakes to stop the bloody great things lol thats another thing ive seemed to notice, whether its jus me but im sure i have to brake harder to stop the rims lol i will get some tissues to , for when i get a puncture ![]()
