| Re: KW v1, v2 or v3????? I used to live in the same street as DaveH and he had the KW Variant1's on his 4x4 and he ran 18" RS4 alloys, it looked awesome and the ride was fine, we also lived about 1/4mile down a farm track and although it was lowered he ran it on the highest settings keeping the car level, he never caught the bottom of the sump and the suspension never failed in the 2 years he had the suspension fitted. |

| Re: KW v1, v2 or v3????? if you want to go fast get v3's and some proper light weight 17" rims if you want to go slow but look good buy the cheap (****) weitecs and keep the heavy r32 wheels.. the weitecs will fail just like v1 and v2 do cos the koni inserts a poor which is the biggest reason to go v3. you pays yer money..... etc.

| Re: KW v1, v2 or v3????? cheers red all I want is for the car to look bit neeter and corner better. The v3 are i would say a track application so I am not interested in that as I dont do it(yet) I want something that firms the car up a bit but doesnt loos too much comfort. and the Weitecs are the same as the KWv1 and ppl who have them say they are fine. I monstly do motorways so it is not too bad but I have a nice 45 mile stretch on way back to camp that is A road and good Fun lol

| Re: KW v1, v2 or v3????? You must have loads of money then. You will be replacing others several times before the 3's give out, trust me I know. You will not get the benifit of full adjustment either.

| Re: KW v1, v2 or v3????? Feel i have to wade in to this as it seems to be getting ridiculous, I know poeple who have had weitecs and also more recently V1's and have no problems whatsoever! This should be a discussion forum not lets slag off whatever we can, even if you havce had bad experiences with gear. It seems people have lost site of the original posts and there is a BUDGET involved here amongst other things such as what he wants it to do so straight away the V3's are out of the question as a are (And i quote) Mucho denerio and secondly the ammount of adjustment on them puts them really for track use. . . . is that what he wanted in the first place . . . . just a thought! |

cheapest is not best.. if you spend 450-500 and have to bin them every 12 months how is that cheaper than 1k and keeping them much longer? too many people have had too many koni inserts fail.

| Re: KW v1, v2 or v3????? Im not saying cheapest is the best just saying this guy is on a BUDGET! ! ! Surely they have a twelve month waranty on them anyway!?!?! Even if the V1's i do buy fail (And i dont believe they will) i could still buy another set and have a spare for each corner for less then the price of the v3's If we all didnt have a budget wouldnt this be the Audi R8, Bugatti and 911 Turbo forum?!?!?!?!?!?! PS. Im not saying the v3's arent the best, im just saying they are the most expensive, just like the 911 turbo i would like! |
